Ed Sullivan, T.V.’s Sunday night impresario for over 25 years, used to say,” Tonight we have a really Big Show!” If you were lucky enough like comedian Jay Leno to get an opportunity to appear in the Sullivan show line-up; if successful, your career took off like a bottle rocket into the “over night success” category.
