Jazz Pianist Leonard McDonald

Jazz pianist, Leonard McDonald, was born and raised in Detroit. He moved to Atlanta in 1978, and worked backing up local vocalists: Theresa Hightower, Chandra Curelli, and numerous others.

While in Detroit, he worked with bands and traveled with various Motown groups.

Currently, he leads the trio at the Ritz Carlton Lodge at Reynolds Plantation, in Greensboro, Ga; he is also the music director at East Lake United Methodist Church.

In addition, he performs during cocktail hour at the Embassy Suites Hotel, and is also a member of the Afro-American Philharmonic Orchestra.
