Thank you, Society Express, so much for the amazing job that you did at my daughter’s wedding last Saturday in Chattanooga. As you probably noticed, the audience was deep with musicians and music lovers, and I must say that I have heard nothing but raving over the wonderful job that you guys did. In the spirit of that, several people have inquired on how they might review you online- is there a band version of Yelp where we can sing your praises? Please let me know and I’ll pass it around. Personally, I couldn’t have been happier with you and would recommend you in a heartbeat. Thanks for adding to the joy on this already wonderful occasion. As you play from the heart,

    Cary Murphy

    Father Of The Bride

So, here’s my only problem with Society Express: I don’t think I know a word in the English language that adequately describes how incredible you guys are!!! Even before we (as in my family and attendants) walked in, we heard these snippets of indescribale jazz music floating down the hall. My dad (who sure loves him some jazz) turned to me and was like “Are you kidding me? This band is amazing!” And it somehow just kept getting better from there. So, please allow me to say thank you SO VERY MUCH for being such a huge part of a really great party. I mean, you wouldn’t believe the number of people who came up to me and gushed about the total stunningness of the music. And you wouldn’t believe how much time I spent during my own wedding reception just running up to people and shrieking “OHMYGODCANYOUBELIEVETHEBAND???” True story.
So, here’s where I’m running into trouble. I think we ended up not going through the gigmaster website for the final arrangements, so they won’t let me leave reviews for you. I would really like to gush about you guys to anyone who will listen, so is there somewhere I can go to do so? Or can I write something for your website? Please let me know. I have a friend who is trying to find a band for his daughter’s wedding. He’s gotten an earful from me…. and your contact information.
THANK YOU AGAIN. And please tell your band that I think they are all individually brilliant. Please don’t think I’m an annoying music kid when I say that I’ve heard a whole lotta music in my time (I was a music major and a professional singer for 14 years) and you heard my friends sing- I know a lot of talented people. And I don’t want to say I’m a little judgy when I hear live music because I’d be lying. But I honestly was just blown away by you guys…. and it takes a lot to impress me (I’m not proud of that, but it’s true). I just…. feel like we won SO HARD with your band.
I just need to stop babbling, but I feel like (other than getting married) you guys were the big win of my biggest evening. Thank you SO MUCH. (Also, what was up with that guy’s Satchmo voice? It was so good that if you closed your eyes, you wouldn’t know you weren’t listening to the real thing!)
ENOUGH! Please let me know how I can spread the word. And THANK YOU!
    Best regards,

    Elizabeth Spivey

We have returned safely from our Northern California.  I was so happy to get this email from you!!!

Oh my goodness Jeni, I was beyond happy, beyond thrilled with your band.  I have to admit, I am actually a little sad and blue that it is all over.  I had so much fun planning and anticipating it, and now it is over.  But it was beautiful, and so touching that I really can’t allow myself to be sad.

The actual reception I somewhat feel like I was floating through it.  Just with everyone tugging at you and talking. So I so wish that I could just relive it one more time.  We ended up not using a videographer, and that is the one big mistake I feel I made.

But walking into the reception when you announced and for the first time “Mr. and Mrs. Twomey” was probably my very favorite moment of the whole night.  Honest to God.  The ballroom looked so gorgeous with all the candle light, I liked the flowers and then you and your band looked so impressive and so classy sitting across the whole back room.  I was SO IMPRESSED!  Yall did a spectacular job.  Your voice was so rich and so warm during all the songs.  The band sounded great on everything.  We just loved, loved, loved it all.  I think you played a song for my uncle Pete called “Teenage Wedding”.  That was a huge hit with him and my mom’s family.  So very cool of yall to do that.

I can’t even remember all the songs that were played.  Which I wish like heck I could.  Again with that “floating” thing, I feel like there are some things I missed.

The surprise “Oh When the Saints Go Marchin In” was such a fun surprise.  What a fun memory to have forever.  The Louisiana folks there just jumped right in to do the 2nd line dance, as it is called.  We had a blast doing that.

Yes I did totally see your beautiful HUGE red roses being delivered.  How sweet was that?  I thought that was so cool.  I loved that for you.

Thank you for everything!  What a privilege it was to work with you.  I will have the very best memories of the whole experience.  I will gladly recommend your band to anyone I know.  I can only hope that life continues to bless and reward you for all your hard work.  You deserve it, lady!!!

    Fondly,

    Amy Bohl
